Job Title: Production Supervisor (Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 3:00AM)

Job Overview:

As a Production Supervisor within Reliable Tire Disposal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and productivity of your team. Your primary responsibility is overseeing day-to-day operations, fostering a safety culture, guiding your team to meet production targets, and ensuring adherence to training protocols. Success in this role will be measured by achieving and exceeding established key performance indicators (KPIs) to contribute to the organization's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Leadership:
    • Achieve and maintain a high Team Safety Compliance Rate by actively promoting and enforcing safety guidelines.
    • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, emphasizing the importance of promptly reporting safety incidents and near misses.
    • Collaborate with the Plant Manager, Millwrights, and other stakeholders to create a safe working environment.
  2. Training and Development:
    • Attain a high Training Completion Rate by overseeing and facilitating safety and job-specific training for team members.
    • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure ongoing training initiatives align with organizational goals.
    • Identify opportunities for skill development within the team.
  3. Shift Productivity:
    • Measure and improve Shift Productivity by overseeing the shift's efficiency in achieving production targets.
    • Collaborate with the Plant and Operations managers to set and meet production goals.
    • Implement strategies to enhance workflow, reduce bottlenecks, and increase overall productivity.
  4. Operational Efficiency:
    • Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by implementing measures to optimize the utilization of resources, including machinery.
    • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Millwrights to identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Production Management:
    • Monitor and improve Production Efficiency by analyzing the ratio of actual production output to maximum potential output.
    • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors to set and achieve production targets.
    • Implement strategies to streamline production processes and increase output.
  6. Downtime Management:
    • Achieve a significant unplanned downtime reduction by implementing effective strategies.
    • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Millwrights to address root causes of downtime and enhance overall equipment reliability.
    • Analyze and report the percentage reduction in unplanned downtime compared to the previous period.
  7. Employee Evaluation:
    • Conduct regular surveys and assessments to gauge Employee Performance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee morale, engagement, and satisfaction.
    • Address employee concerns to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, production processes, and team management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
